Mamiraua Nature Reserve
Located near Tefe in the Brazilian Amazon, Mamiraua Nature Reserve is the largest protected flooded forest in the world and the largest wildlife reserve in Brazil. Visitors can view over 350 types of birds, as well as one of the world's largest fresh water fish, the once endangered white uakari monkey and pirarucu, and many other primates, amphibians and reptiles. A highlight is the pink river dolphin!
